Blind Pimple Treatments
Pimples without a doubt are one of the most common problems in teenagers; although middle-aged men and women can suffer from this irritating skin problem as well.
Pimples are mostly seen in teenagers because of the hormonal changes in their body due to puberty.
In most cases, after a few years of causing trouble it stops; but for those who still suffer from this even after they are in their 30s or 40s, they tend to look for artificial cures.
But when it comes to pimples, almost anyone at any age can have it.
Visually, there are two different types of pimples.
The one that is fairly visible to the human eye and another one which is not.
The one which isn’t visible is commonly known as a blind pimple.
So, what is exactly a blind pimple?
A blind pimple is a comedone that has no head.
It is still a type of a pimple that builds up under your skin but most importantly, the pimple is not visible from a little distance but you can feel the lump and the pain.
This is a unique type of acne which is formed by an amalgamation of oil, bacteria, and dirt that gets trapped in your skin pores.
It causes a lump just under your skin which does not have a head like a regular pimple.
When you are dealing with blind pimples you may also notice an exceptionally large white area which will cause pain even upon the slightest of touches.
Keep in mind that this is not your regular pimple which you can poke, squeeze, and scratch.
So don’t even think of getting into such things.
It can leave you with excruciating pain and further damage.
There isn’t a quick fix to this; but check out our list below for ways to get rid of blind pimples or regular pimples to an extent.
Please note that for severe cases, we highly recommend that you see a dermatologist.
But if you want to save some bucks and try out something new and also if you are confident that your pimple problem is not that bad, go ahead and give these a go!
- Don’t pop it!!
Acne can be very irritating!
You may feel the urge to pop or squeeze it but whatever it is, try to restrain yourself from doing that.
This is a very important rule regarding acne and especially for blind pimples.
Blind pimples are very difficult to handle because they are not on the surface.
They develop under the surface of your skin accompanied by inflammation and no head whatsoever. So, popping or squeezing is literally impossible!
Thus, in your quest to squeeze the hell out of your pimple, you might make it a lot worse. The inflammation may increase along with added sensitivity of the whole area.
There are chances of redness and also there are risks of getting marks on the skin leading to permanent damage!
What you can do is just wait it out so that the head comes to the surface while on treatment and with time it will go away on its own.
- Warm compress is the way to go!
When it comes to treating blind pimples, warm compressing is exceptional.
It acts as a pain reliever and cures the pimple and the area from the inside.
- It eases off the pain caused by the under surface acne.
- The heat from the compress acts as a bacteria remover on its own.
We all know that heat actually open up the pores of our skin.
Here, it leads to pushing the head of the pimple to the surface. This in turn actively removes the bacteria present helping the cause as a whole.
You can easily find a warm compress from your nearest medicine shop.
You can also use a warm towel soaked in hot water and apply it over your pimples.
You can also use a warm tea bag and especially a black tea bag for its anti-inflammatory qualities.
Tip: Make sure you apply at least 3 times a day for 5 to 10 minutes!
- Cure it with acne stickers
Acne sticker is a tailor-made cure for pimples. It is basically a bandage which you can stick over a blind pimple.

Just stick it on and you are good to go!
Acne stickers are easily available in any drug store. You can use it daily and it is recommended that you follow a daily routine until the acne is completely gone.
Tip: Make sure that you change it after 24 hours.

- The raw honey method
Honey is also a natural alternative to the chemical induced products.
And just like tea tree oil, it also has some naturally induced anti-microbial properties that help to cure pimples and completely eradicates pimple-causing bacteria.
If you want to make this method effective you need to make sure that the product you are using is basically raw honey, and by that means, your honey should be totally natural and chemical free.
So, you must avoid any grocery store product which imperatively contains chemicals.
